FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’m not sure what program will fit me. Can you help?

Your goals will determine which program suits you best. As a general rule:

Performance (Strength and Conditioning) = Best suited for people that do not have any chronic medical conditions and just want to get stronger, fitter or move better.

Rehab = Best suited for people experiencing chronic illness or injury. This includes (and not limited to), pre- and post-surgery, cancer treatment, Osteoarthritis, Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, Lower Back Pain, and people who want to improve their independence.

Disability = Best suited for people that have funding via the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This covers a variety of disabilities, including, physical and psychosocial.

How long are sessions?

Initial appointments are 60 minutes to give us time to properly get to know you, your goals and how we can best help you. This includes a review of your medical history, lifestyle, current physical capacity and any considerations for exercise. Information from this initial assessment will be used to develop a program to help you reach
your goals.

Subsequent appointments can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes long depending on your goals, availability and preferences.

I want to do sessions at home or at my own gym. Do you do home / external visits?

Absolutely! We understand that it is not always possible to travel, or you may just prefer training in the comfort of your own home/gym/pool. We don’t want this to prevent you from reaching your goals. That’s why we offer mobile services across Perth, to make it as easy as possible for you to get the services you need and deserve.

Are you registered with NDIS?

Yes we are! This means that we are able to provide services for participants who are self, plan or NDIA managed.

Do I get a private health rebate for my sessions?

Yes! We accept a range of Private Health Policies and are able to rebate at appointments, so you don’t have to. Rebate amounts and eligibility will vary depending on your Private Health Insurance Policy.

I’m still unsure about booking in. Can I talk to someone?

Absolutely! We understand that this can be an overwhelming decision to make and we want to make it as easy as possible. Feel free to call 0432 441 104 to chat more, or send us an email at admin@acehp.com.au and we will be in touch.

Do you do Pre-employment Screenings?

We do! We are able to provide physical assessment and generic pre-employment screenings. Get in touch to find out more!

Do I have to have ongoing sessions or can I just get a home program?

Not at all! Our biggest driver is to see people moving and exercising independently - as a part of their new healthy habits. Changing habits is not something that happens overnight so we want to help you overcome this by coming in to see us, at least to start with. However, if this just isn't your thing and all you need is a little guidance then we are more than happy to provide you with a home/gym exercise program for you to complete independently. This can be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure you reach your goals.

What do I need to bring to my session?

- Towel and Drink bottle
- Athletic clothing and enclosed shoes
- Medicare and Private Health cards (if relevant)
- Any necessary information/reports provided to you by your GP or Health Specialist
- Any medication you may require for exercise (e.g. asthma puffer, glucose etc.)

Do you have a cancellation policy?

For the consideration of others, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please get in contact with us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment or a fee may be charged.

However, we get it… Life happens so we will attempt to be as accommodating as possible.

Thanks for your understanding!
